Finding royalty-free content on a tight budget is aways difficult. Some of the stuff out there is pretty bad and often comes with strings attached.
Well, cheapskates can now rejoice as there is a new "free" service for users who don't require lots of static image content for their projects. This service is called Photo Xpress and you can find decent quality, royalty-free content for personal and commercial use. Users must register with the service first and then can download up to 3 free images per day.
Users can increase this to 10 free downloads per day by providing more information (to get access to the higher download limit I am told users must register their mobile phone number so they can receive SMS messages... not really my cup of tea but it may be ok for some people).
Bottom line is you get access to a steady stream of content that you can repurpose and best of all... it's all FREE!!!
Granted the selection is a bit limited at the moment but the image quality ain't bad and... did I mention it's FREE?
