Digital Signage Expo East

I attended Digital Signage Expo East last week as an exhibitor and I will post updates on some of the new technologies I discovered while working the show. The first day (Wednesday, September 17th) was very busy until late afternoon. By then things had quieted down significantly but this simply meant exhibitors could spend more quality time with visitors and fully answer their questions. The second and last day of the show was fairly quiet but there was a steady stream of visitors. Let's hope things pick up for the Vegas show in February '09.

The venue was great but one can only wonder if the recent finance crisis scared off potential visitors at the last minute. The show was not as ambitious as last winter's Vegas event with many established companies missing from the show floor. But the usual suspects were present (NetKey, Wireless Ronin, Scala, to name a few...).

Next year, the DSE - East moves to Washington DC so stay tuned for more details!

You should really check out The Digital Signage Show next month in NYC (www.thedigitalsignageshow.com). It plans to be significantly larger and better attended than what you just attended
