Seems every week brings us a new PPT >SWF converter. The latest comes from Crystal Graphics (the people behind PowerPoint "Power Plugs"). The product is called PowerCONVERTER and Crystal Graphics claims it preserves all of your presentation's characteristics such as any embedded audio, video and animations and transitions.
Surprisingly, the converter does not support Crystal Graphic's own Power Plugs animations. The company claims the resulting Flash files would be too large so we'll have to wait and see if they add this feature in a future version.
I'm no fan of PowerPoint myself but there is no denying it's a quick and dirty way to create content for digital signage use. In most cases the resulting Flash files look way better that native PowerPoint files and that's a good thing.
